Lovd Ones ‘Thicker Than Blood’ hits #1 on iTunes Reggae charts

Lovd Ones, a reggae music collective hailing from Orlando, Florida, has garnered a significant amount of attention from fans and fellow artists alike. This may in part be because of one member, well know for his previous accolades which include, four full length solo albums, Grammy award nominations and Dove award victories. That artist goes by the name of Benjah.

Although this collective is most certainly new, releasing only one other project entitled Mountains and Valleys EP, Benjah wasted no time announcing the beginning of a creative and musical process that would culminate in a studio album slated for release in July.

Thicker Than Blood, the first full-length studio album released from Lovd Ones, hit online music stores on July 15th. It only took Benjah and the Lovd Ones three days to climb towards the top of the iTunes Reggae chart, peaking at number 1.

Support for Thicker Than Blood has come from all different directions; from fans of Benjah’s solo career to Andy Mineo of Reach Records, who voiced his support for the project via Instagram.

“Shake ya dreads to this mon”, said Mineo on Instagram today.

Additionally, The Lovd One’s newest project is filled with features, with 7 of the 15 tracks featuring other artists. These include features from the likes of Sizzla, Luciano, Sonny Sandoval (of P.O.D.), and more.

You can support Benjah and the Lovd Ones newest project Thicker Than Blood by purchasing it on iTunes today.
