On June 25th, Reflection Music Group released Tony Tillman’s second national project, “The Tillman EP,” which immediately started to climb every chart within reach. In the first week of release, the EP charted at #2 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel charts, #2 on the Amazon.com Christian and Gospel charts, #19 on Amazon.com’s mainstream Hip Hop chart and #19 on the Billboard Gospel chart.
“This has been amazing,” says Doc Watson, the head of Reflection Music Group, Tillman’s Nashville-based independent record label. “We’re so excited to see how many people are embracing Tony, not just in the Christian world, but across the board. That’s what we’re all about – reaching the masses.”
Tillman’s debut single, “Tailored,” features Beckah Shae and spreads the message that every person is “tailor made” in the image of God. The track’s music video is already getting substantial views.
Reviews have been enthusiastic for “The Tillman EP,” which also features collaborations with such artists as Chad Jones, Tedashii, Rio, Canon, Out of the Dust and Sho Baraka. NewReleaseTuesday.com called the album “a dope release,” while both TheCelebrityCafe.com and M-briomusic.com gave the project 5 out of 5 stars. “Tony Tillman knows how to make good music,” said a review at WadeOradio.com, one of Christian Hip Hop’s top online destinations. Even Focus on the Family took notice, featuring the project on their Boundless podcast and Plugged In podcast.
