The Making of Andy Mineo’s ‘Heroes For Sale’ Album Cover

Today the news of Andy Mineo’s debut album release ‘Heroes For Sale’ was announced. Along with that announcement came the unveiling of a spectacular album cover design.

The cover was created by the design and illustration studio Invisible Creature founded by Don & Ryan Clark, otherwise known as the lead vocalist and former guitarist of the Christian heavy-metal band Demon Hunter. The same studio was behind the Lecrae ‘Gravity’ album artwork.

At first glance you may think this cover was done by using some sort of photo manipulation software, but actually it was created using mostly practical effects as seen in the album promo video and these behind-the-scene photos.

Pin striping the van to match the color palette of the cover and texturing with grunge and decay

Prepping the ‘Heroes For Sale’ logo character decal to be painted onto the van

Are you excited to see the rest of the album’s packaging when it is released in stores on April 16, 2013?
