On March 27, 2020, the visual for spoken word RnB single Rise premiered on Youtube. The track “Rise” is a collaboration by the artist Waiyaki, Jhe, and Kanilla. It was created to encourage and remind Black Women that they are made in the image of God (Gen 1:27). Although Western society hasn’t valued them as such, the project was made to tell Black women that their value isn’t determined by the world. Instead, it is already determined by God.
