Last year, we had Datin on Community During Chaos. During the conversation, Datin reminded the audience to keep their eyes on the end goal as Christians amidst all the current adversity. In his words, obstacles will always come and go. Christians especially, will face hardships in general and personally. Despite it all, however, while addressing issues is needed, the ultimate goal is to focus on Jesus’ second coming and paving the way for this coming. He then brought up 2 Corinthians chapter 11, where Paul listed what hardships he has gone through for Christ. “I’m sure he faced racism. I’m sure he […]
Divided Hearts of America is a new documentary film that tackles the real and raw truth about abortion in America. Filmmaker Chad Bonham along with retired NFL star Benjamin Watson walks the viewer on a journey of 30 interviews to paint this picture. Watson interviews senators, doctors, scientists, survivors of abortions, people who had them, doctors who performed them, lawmakers, Christians, atheists, and others to understand both sides of this hot button issue. Ultimately, the film keeps its Pro-Life stance evident but in a way that gives an opportunity for growth without condemnation which makes it accessible to a wider […]
Back in January, we teamed up with Hulvey to have a conversation to kick off the premiere of his music video “Back In the Wick.” During the after-party question session, a watcher asked him what his most impactful life moment was. He came up with two. The first was when he got saved. He was in a hotel room in Memphis, Tennesee when Jesus spoke to his heart. “He said ‘follow me’. It was in my heart, it wasn’t out [loud], it was in here,” Hulvey explained. “I heard him. I started weeping for like 30 minutes.” His second impactful […]
Last year, we had Reconcile on an episode of Community During Chaos. The conversation at the time was still surrounding the racial tension going on in America. To Reconcile, Floyd’s death is another reminder that Christians need to be spreading God’s love and message. From his point of view, Christian Rap has strayed away from that purpose. “I’m not feeling the music that Christian Rap is making. I feel like the music is way too complacent. The music is cornybally. The music isn’t hard,” Reconcile said. “Not to say that everyone needs to do a certain thing, but I think […]
Last year, we had Datin on Community During Chaos. To start off the conversation, Datin explained why he has had to rein back on his comments on social media about police brutality. Datin grew up in North Jersey. In his childhood area, black, Dominican, and Puerto Ricans all live in the same area and treat each other as the same. “We all say the n-word, we all do the same things, we shop at the same places,” Datin said. “Where I’m from, it’s all integrated, all blended.” This blending is not normal in most other communities, to say the least. […]
The ESV of Isaiah 44:22 reads, “I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist; return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Often believers exclaim phrases like, “God can save anyone! Come as you are! Or the big one, “You’re never too far gone for God.” Has it ever felt like the truth though? I mean think about it, we are a very flawed people. So flawed in fact, that our creator had to send a perfect sacrifice in order to clear our names and allow us eternal life. Still though, amidst biblical evidence […]

Von Won dropped his new song “Yes Jehovah” off his 12th project Gospel Rapper. The track is a rework of LeVert’s 1987 black-pop hit “Casanova,” and serves as the lead single for the album and carries the same light and joyous feel of the original. “Everyone loves a well-written pop song and, given the collective stressors we’ve all endured over the last year and a half, it just seemed right to give people a feel-good jam that celebrates God’s blessings on our lives,” Von Won said. The “Yes Jehovah” music video adds visuals to that theme, with Von’s character enjoying elements of earthly success like access to luxury vehicles, business opportunities, and spacious new home. It also serves as a launching pad of […]
