About Mr. Del: Rapper/song-writer/producer Mr. Del is changing the face of Hip Hop, Gospel, and music, as we know it today. His untraditional approach to Gospel meets society’s need for a REAL Hip Hop artist BOLD enough to proclaim the pure, uncut, unadulterated word of God in his music. With the purpose of taking his message “to the streets,” God’s anointed Hip Hop Apostle, Mr. Del, is committed to sharing the Gospel in a way unknown to most secular and non-secular audiences. Formerly a member of the Oscar winning, platinum selling secular rap group Three-Six-Mafia, Mr. Del has rededicated his life to Christ and changed his message to one that promotes righteousness rather than sin.

Mr. Del’s music, most widely recognized as Holy Hip Hop, is laced with beats that range from southern street to east coast bounce. He has released three albums on his independent label, Holy South (of which he is President and CEO). In 2005, Mr. Del fulfilled his dream of being on a major label and inked a deal with EMI Gospel. In August 2005 this joint venture yielded its first album entitled, The Future. Mr. Del seeks to use his music to express his talent and passion for God and his people, while using his life to incite positive change in the lives of countless youth and adults alike that are falling into the world’s death traps. He travels extensively with his Holy South Movement sharing his personal testimony and demonstrating to youth that the riches of the world are minor compared to what God has to offer.

The Holy South Movement hosts tours featuring Mr. Del and other Christian artists. This powerful ministry is headquartered in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. These tours have touched the lives of thousands of youth and claimed their soul for Christ. Mr. Del can also be found each Sunday and Tuesday serving as the pastor of the church he founded, City of Refuge. Hope Dealer is the second installment of great albums from him.
