Flynn Adam (of L.A. Symphony) Coming Out with New Music in New Ways

In keeping with their boutique approach to finding and nurturing musical talent, Gotee Records has signed a deal with Flynn Adam, with his first two singles “Such a Time” and “Just Don’t Get It” being given the finishing touches for a January 27th, 2008 release via ITunes. A music video for “Such a Time” and remix version of the song will also accompany the singles for the New Year launch.

The Flynn Adam songs will be marketed by Gotee Records in an A/B side single format with the music video included as well. “Such a Time” will be the first single to be promoted to radio, video, digital, TV, and Para church organizations. Gotee plans to release three of these dual singles digitally over the next six to eight months time. All of the total six songs will be available as an EP exclusively at Flynn Adam live shows in 2009.

“We’re all so frustrated right now about how this music business is not giving us the same results it use to, but we’re not changing how we approach the consumer, and its clear they’re telling us they want something different,” said Gotee label president Joey Elwood. “When I heard Flynn Adam’s new music I knew he was the right artist for us to launch our ‘content’ deal with. For years the labels have been focused on coupling 10-12 songs together for whatever configuration the consumer was demanding based on the most current technology. I’m now convinced that as labels we need to collect content and then decide on a configuration once we understand what the consumer is demanding for that particular artist. We don’t like what the consumer is asking of us because it doesn’t match our business model, but if customer service is the #1 priority of any business, we need to adapt and serve. This new deal with Flynn Adam is Gotee’s attempt at servicing the new music consumer.”

With this newest to-be-titled solo effort in progress song-by-song, Flynn Adam gets ready to serve up more of what fans have come to expect from him over the years with a guitar-anchored conflation of hip-hop, alternative, and new-wave sensibilities in the vein of Gnarls Barkley, Beck, and TV on the Radio, plus a healthy dose of Flynn Adam’s own idiosyncratic lyrics and hooks.

The music video for the song “Such a Time” was also recently shot with director Daniel Chestnut (Hurley Entertainment). Chestnut just recently wrapped the new Norma Jean video “Robots 3, Humans 0″.

As one of the founding members of the highly renowned Dove- nominated L.A.
