Watch V.Rose’s stunning cover of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’

Christian pop singer V. Rose is spreading a some Christmas cheer with her stunning version of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”

The singer just released the classic cover this afternoon in the form of a video.

The video is simple but beautifully shot, with the singer stationed next to a grand piano as the keys are played by a studio musician.

V. Rose’s voice feels like a throwback to the Christmas tunes that perhaps some of our parents were listening to. Her voice is full, booming, and powerful while the aura and piano arrangement are a perfect blend of jazz and stripped vulnerable goodness.

While it hasn’t been posted for very long, early commenters are praising the cover with one person saying, “On that Mariah Carey level.”

Watch the rendition below:

A press release was sent out at the same time of the video release where V. Rose shared some of her favorite Christmas memories.

“My greatest Christmas memory is from when I was 9 or 10. I remember laying on the dog bed next the fireplace with my dog while my brothers danced in the kitchen with my dad to Nat King Cole Christmas music. We were all together and it was perfect,” she said in the release.

Continuing on the Nat King Cole train of thought, she also shared that his version of “The Christmas Song” is her favorite track to play over the holidays as well as his album of the same name.

V. Rose also keeps the traditions of her family alive, and spends her Christmas Eve night asleep under the tree with her 10-year-old brother. Another tradition, reading the Nativity story of Luke 2.

For those that are interested in seeing more from V. Rose, don’t worry, her New Year’s Resolution is to “stay consistent” with YouTube vlogs.

What do you think of V. Rose’s Christmas cover? What sort of traditions does your family follow every Christmas?
