Decide UFC fighter Nate Marquardt’s next walkout song

UFC fighter Nate Marquardt is letting fans vote on which Christian hip-hop song he will use for the entrance music to his next fight.

On Saturday, Dec. 19, Marquardt will fight CB Dollaway in the prelims of UFC Fight Night, which will air on FOX Sports 1 at 5 p.m. ET.

In the past, Marquardt has walked out to the songs “Come Alive” by the 116 Clique and “On Jehovah’s Side” by Mouthpi3ce. Next month, he will march to the octagon to whichever of the following three songs fans elect on Rapzilla.com, which will announce the winner on Dec. 2.

Derek Minor – “Oceans”

“This song just has a good vibe to it,” Marquardt said. “It’s all about not worrying about our troubles and focusing on God’s love.”

Trip Lee – “Lazarus” feat. Thi’sl

“I’ve always liked the imagery of the dead being risen,” Marquardt said, “because I once was dead in my sins and now am alive through Christ.”

Flame – “Start Over” feat. NF

“This song is about the hope and forgiveness that is in Jesus,” Marquardt said. “No matter what we’ve done or where we’ve been, we can start over.”

These three songs appeared on Marquardt’s Christian hip-hop playlist that he shared with Rapzilla earlier this month.

Christian hip hop played a key role in Marquardt’s comeback after a three-fight losing streak in 2013. Read his feature on Rapzilla.
