The video depicts Shopé as he heads on the road yet again to fulfill the calling he believes the Lord has placed on him. The imagery is a metaphor of him inching ever closer to his goal of being a role model by using his gifts. The video makes it clear that despite Shopé's passion for the mission of making disciples, he is not willing to sacrifice family on the alter of "ministry." Add a comment

When I wrote the song “Edge of My Life” I was picturing families or that person who is struggling just to survive or make ends meat as the saying goes. I’ve experienced those moments in my life where I felt like I was on the edge of quitting or just in a hard place. 1 Timothy 6:12 tells us to fight the good fight of faith and the reason it’s a good fight is because in the end we win. We just have to keep fighting in the moment and know God always comes through even though sometimes it’ feels like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. Add a comment
