Tre9 – Hero feat. Tone Jonez

Hero is a song that encourages men to be fathers and husbands with integrity. It celebrates the role that God has given men to be the “Hero” to their families. Today men are often discouraged by an overwhelming sense of inability to measure up to others expectations. On the other side, many men are overworked trying to make a living, without taking the time to make a life. It’s no easy task being a man in this day and age, but Tre9 who is the father of four and has been a husband for half of his life, finds a way to articulate the payoff of pressing forward as the head of household. Side Note: Tre9 announced his retirement as a rapper earlier this month. Although he will remain active in hip hop missions, he vows never record another solo album again. “I will focus on raising my children, loving my wife, growing the capacity of our non-profit organization and creating new platforms that fresh faces in Christian hip hop will benefit from,” states Tre9. A retirement celebration honoring Tre9’s eighteen years as a Christian rapper is scheduled for July 12, 2014 in Houston, TX.
