Justin Bieber Appears in Christian Rap Music Video

Since the inception of his career in 2010, internationally-known singer Justin Bieber has experienced the public roller coaster ride of fame and shame. During the same time, Bieber has also had a tumultuous relationship with his professed Christian faith. Many have claimed that the pop star is hypocritical with the life he lives despite his connections to pastors and spiritual leaders such as well-known pastors Carl Lentz and Judah Smith. Apparently Bieber has created a connection with Christian Hip Hop as well.

As reported by Christian Post, Bieber recently appeared in a video entitled “The Pledge” for a Christian rapper named Brandon Burke. The video, which has become viral after Bieber’s appearance is a song unpacking the forgiveness of God. The singer gives his thoughts about the subject near the end of the music video by explaining “God loved the world so much He gave up his own son, right? Imagine someone killing your son, like a bunch of people killing your son. These are your people, right? It’s like, ‘how are you killing my son? That’s my son.’ It’s gonna be hard for you to forgive but God forgave everyone and they killed His son. That shows how much grace God has.”

The song, from Burke’s album Long Live The King, speaks about a return to America’s Christian foundation. Burke, who reportedly has spent time spiritually mentoring the star, hopes to inspire others to return to Biblical values. The video received thousands of retweets after Bieber posted it to the millions of followers on his Twitter page.

What are your thoughts? Is Justin’s music video appearance meaningful?
