Dee-1 Signs With RCA Records & Announces ‘Psalms Of David II’ Release Date

After a multitude of prominent Christian Hip Hop features, rapper Dee-1 finally has a place to call his own. The southern emcee announced on his Facebook page today that he has officially signed to RCA Records. Dee-1 joins a star-studded roster of artists that includes Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, Miguel, Alicia Keys, Mali Music and many more. “We are truly excited about Dee-1 joining the RCA Inspiration family,” says General Manager, Geo Bivins. “In the current marketplace, where people are listening much closer to artists and seeking music that is authentic with a ‘real’ message, we believe Dee-1’s music will resonate with today’s diverse Hip Hop and Inspirational music consumers and beyond.” RCA is the second-oldest recording company in the United States, and will give him a “bigger platform”, in his words, to spread the truth through his artistry.

“Signing with RCA is a life-changing partnership that I’m excited to be a part of. I know we’re about to make history together so I’m motivated to work harder than ever. Coming from New Orleans, I realize that my success is bigger than me. It’s a symbol of hope for others who want to chase their dreams and make a difference in life. So I’m going to make sure that together we all win. #MissionVision,” said Dee-1. The New Orleans native, who has toured with Lil Wayne, Macklemore and Lecrae, was recently featured on Derek Minor’s “Dear Mr. Christian,” song from his new album Minorville. Congratulations to Dee-1 for this new opportunity!

According to a press release, ‘Psalms of David II’ will drop on November 19th and includes features from Master P, PJ Morton and more to be announced with production duties being handled by Mannie Fresh, KLC and C. Smith. Download the latest single “Really Feel This“.
