Jackie Hill-Perry spoke to The Gospel Coalition about how to resist the temptation to sin.
“I really work hard at trying to love Jesus more,” said Hill-Perry when temptations creep in. “[God says] If you love Me, you will obey Me.”
She said reading the Bible and really pressing in to understand what it means helps her to follow God’s path.
“How I resist sin, is doing what I gotta do to see Jesus. That’s getting into His scriptures and getting in my heart.”
Another way Hill-Perry resists sins is getting into a community of other believers. She also feels listening to worship that focuses on the truth of Jesus is a constant reminder of where she strives to be in Christ.
