Ambassador Previews & Dissects ‘When Sacred Meets Secular’ with Shai Linne

Ambassador and Shai Linne teamed up at Southeastern Seminary to preview his album When Sacred Meets Secular and break down the songs to see the deeper meaning of the tracks.

The event took place on October 12 and was streamed on Facebook Live.

The video switches between Ambassador’s live performances and Ambassador and Shai Linne’s dialogue.

“Secular is something that would fall outside of any specific religious purpose. Sacred is that thing which is dedicated to Jesus Christ and is dedicated to his purpose and mission,” Ambassador explained.

The emcee felt it was time to approach this topic because of all the attention mainstream rap has been giving Christianity lately. Linne opened up the discussion by mentioning Kanye West’s self-proclaimed “gospel album” The Life of Pablo and Chance the Rapper’s song “Blessings.”
