Tragic Hero named by VIBE as one of six on-the-rise Latino emcees

VIBE named one of Christian hip-hop’s top artists this year in its list of rising Latino rappers, Tragic Hero, who released his critically-acclaimed album, My Own Worst Enemy, in June.

“Tragic Hero is building a solid image for Ecuadorians in hip-hop,” VIBE wrote. “The 30-year-old’s eclectic influence has inspired him to continuously switch up his overall sound. … Throughout [My Own Worst Enemy], Tragic Hero shows off his creativity by channeling his Kanye-esq ego on one track, then tapping into his inner dark side, á la The Weeknd, on another.”

In July, Tragic Hero won a challenge determined by fan vote to perform at the popular Atlanta-based hip-hop festival A3C, which he performed at this month.
