3 Christian artists receive placement on VH1 reality star’s dance web series

Several names familiar to Christian hip-hop fans have their names on the first episode of a new web series starring Royce Reed, who has been a cast member on VH1’s reality show Basketball Wives, as well as a dancer for the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat.

The web series will document a competition between over 120 women for a spot in Reed’s Orlando, Fla.-based dance company, Fantashique. Music featured in the premiere of the show, which will air at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday on Fantashique’s YouTube channel, includes the songs “Unstoppable” by Butta P, “Never Back Down” by Carl Fontaine and “Chase the Night,” “Ladies Anthem” and “I Win” by SHEENA.

“Unstoppable” is track No. 2 on Butta P’s EP that she released through Rapzilla this summer, The Coronation. SHEENA’s three songs are all from her recently released, self-titled album. This past Friday, she put out a music video for “Ladies Anthem” and “I Win” featuring Butta P.

More familiar names contributed to the web series itself. Anesha Collins, founder of Unashamed Imaging, directed and co-produced the Fantashique competition. Will Thomas, one of Christian hip hop’s most go-to music video directors, also helped Collins shoot.
