Andy Mineo defeats Taylor Swift in Round 1 of ESPN tournament, faces Big Sean in Round 2

ESPN has squared off Andy Mineo’s song “You Can’t Stop Me” against Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” in its tournament for the MLB’s best walk-up song.

Update: Mineo defeated Swift by a landslide on Wednesday to advance to the next round. Next, “You Can’t Stop Me” will go toe-to-toe with Big Sean’s “Blessings.”

“You Can’t Stop Me” vs. “Bad Blood” is a Day 1 first-round match-up. The winner of the 32-team tournament, which ESPN is calling the “Whammys,” will be revealed on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball at 8 p.m. ET.

To vote, tweet the name of the song with the hashtag “#WalkupVote.” Fans decide which song advances. As a No. 1 seed, Swift enters as a major favorite over Mineo, a No. 8 seed.

The MLB’s Michael McKenry, Justin Maxwell and Logan Morrison were listed as players who use “You Can’t Stop Me” as their walk-up song.
