Lil Prophet “Versatile” releasing through Infinity

Real Word Records/Soldier Sound Records recording artist, Lil Prophet is gearing up for his brand new sophomore album titled, “Versatile.” Born in Chicago, IL and now residing in Zephyrhills, FL Ryan Kelsie aka Lil Prophet is 21 years old and newly married finds himself as not only a ministry-minded hip hop artist but, also the CEO of his very own label, Real Word Records. Ryan is currently enrolled at Tampa Bay Bible College where he is pursuing his second degree in Theological Studies. Pastor Steven D. Kelsie has been guiding and mentoring Ryan for years and understands the need to be well-equipped to go out to minister the gospel.

The new project, “Versatile” which features 12 new tracks was produced by some of the greatest talents in the Christian Hip Hop Industry today, Pettidee, K-Drama, and Pro. The lyrical content on this album deals with real-life, everyday issues like, low self esteem, depression, peer pressure, rape, financial stability, and of course the gift of salvation.

The whole album is centered around the youth of our nation and how they are constantly being targeted by the mainstream media to buy this or look like that. Lil Prophet looks at this situation as his job to not only be relevant to this culture musically bringing banging beats but, to show something that the youth can take ownership in and stand firm on the Word of God for generations to come.

Lil Prophet talks about the new project, “The album consists of music that reaches everyone. As Christian artists we must be different; able to go outside the box with our ministry by being Versatile.” The first single, “I Go Hard” featuring Pettidee and Bonafide of Grits will be spinning across the country very soon as well as a music video to follow to major networks everywhere. Lil Prophet “Versatile” will be distributed nationwide by Infinity Music Distribution on February 2nd 2010.
