On Sept. 21-22, 2009, The Higher Ground Record Pool (HGRP)/1 Accord DJ Alliance will host its 1st Annual DJ Conference. This milestone marks the creation of the 1st National DJ Conference for the Faith-based community. The Higher Ground Record Pool (HGRP)/1 Accord DJ Alliance Conference is geared to educate, empower, and mobilize Gospel/Christian DJs while equipping them in grassroots promotions and business stabilization. It all kicks off in the city where DJs (Hip Hop and Gospel) where birthedNew York City. Open to DJs, artists, record labels, and radio personalities this conference through a combination of workshops, seminars, DJ exhibits, artist showcases and some Holy Ghost partying, will leave attendees with a better understanding of the united role they play for those in the Faith-based music industry. NY based HGRP President Dr. D says, With the rise of artist driven monolithic syndicated urban radio shows, its time for an organized DJ driven movement.

The Higher Ground Record Pool was established in 2001 as an International liaison between Gospel music and its consumer base composed of over 17 million church members. With chapters currently in New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia, they have become the first Gospel DJ Pool to report and chart to STS in 2008. HGRP was created to provide a network for the niche ministry work of Gods mobile soldiers.
