Back in October of 2010 the talk of a group album was heating up that included Flame, Thi’sl, and Json. The original post we made quotes Thi’sl as saying that the project should happen sometime in 2012. We also shot a video interview with Flame where he mentions the project.
Well, 2012 has come and gone and it seems that collective/collaborative albums are working. It is clearly working for Collision Records and their label collective album W.L.A.K. seeing as it peaked at #1 on the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap charts and #3 overall. Working together as a collective on a project, Collision has seen more success than any individual artist has on the label to date. Collision’s roster’s sales combined likely don’t amount to Flame, Thi’sl, or Json’s individual sales. So imagine if three of the top selling solo artists in Christian Hip Hop were to come together when collective projects are working. We emailed all three artists and we’re waiting for their comments. We’ll get back to you with updates. Who wants to see this happen?
