DJ Wade-O Featured in the Wall Street Journal

DJ Wade O was recently featured in a Wall Street Journal piece about Spiritual apps. You can read the full article here and watch the video below.

Here’s Wade-O’s story:
A few weeks ago, my friend Gabe Taviano called me and said the Wall Street Journal was looking for someone living in the NYC Metro Area who used technology to aid in their spirtual growth for a story they were going to run. He then asked was I interested. And of course, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

Shortly their after, Christina Tseui from the WSJ reached out and we scheduled a time when she could come to my church to interview me as well as my Pastor about technology and spirtual development. Although we didn’t know it at the time, but portions of our interview appeared in a much larger piece that included multiple religons. The Journal described the video as such:

Looking to confess your latest sin? Or seeking a Jewish blessing for your meal? There’s an app for that. Today’s worshipers are looking to mobile technology to supplement their faith and beginning to challenge the norms of religious practice. WSJ’s Christina Tsuei reports.

It was a great expeirence to be a part of and even thought me that Jews, Muslims and even Catholics are using technology just as much and sometimes more than many Christians, to aid in their faith journey. I pray that the body of Christ can continue to utilize technology to reach more people with the Gospel.
