The tour is coming just on the heels of the widely successful Alex Faith and Dre Murray tour, Southern Lights. While RMG artist, lyrical specialist and Lecrae hype man Canon released his debut album Mad Haven last year, he was already a familiar name to many in Christian Hip Hop long before the project entered our ears. Canon first gained widespread genre recognition from his critically-acclaimed 2011 mixtape Blind World. The collection of songs, sparked by the first single “10 Toes Deep”, featured a mixture of beats that showed off his signature staccato flow and highlighted his inspiring journey of sanctification. Not to mention also featuring the song “Good to Go”, featuring some of the fastest lyrical delivery ever recorded. Blind World introduced Canon to his broad audience and displayed that he’s not just a lyricist but an artist. For that, and being one of Rapzilla's most downloaded free projects to date, the mixtape is worthy of Throwback Thursday shout out.
The Rep is set to release his new album entitled '13th Floor' on May 3rd.
