Sherrod White Shares How He Spreads Jesus Through Music

Rapper Sherrod White spoke to Rapzilla about the Christian content of his music.

He said he may not necessarily mention Jesus in a song, but you will get the theological Biblical viewpoint of it. “There won’t be no question marks on if I’m a believer or non-believer.”

White continued, “I’m not saying you don’t have to scream Jesus every two or three bars, but as a believer your faith should impact everything you do.”

White also shared his thoughts on where Christian hip-hop is right now. He “appreciates” all of the new talent bringing something different to the table.

The emcee thinks some of the music now is “more generalized,” as opposed to very scripturally heavy. He thinks both are good for serving different purposes.

“I want to see how things play out,” he said.
