Video Interview: Strange Music’s Krizz Kaliko talks faith, working with Andy Mineo

Krizz Kaliko, a Kansas City-based hip-hop artist signed to Tech N9ne’s record label Strange Music, recently told Rapzilla how he ended up on “Tug of War,” track No. 15 on Andy Mineo’s album Heroes For Sale.

Kaliko also revealed that he had recorded another hook for Mineo for a song called “Skyscrapers,” which is unreleased. In the future, Kaliko said he plans to work with the pastor at his sister-in-law’s church, Pastor Ad3, a Kansas City-based, Christian hip-hop artist formerly signed to Thi’sl’s Full Ride Music Group.

“[Pastor Ad3] is ridiculously dope,” Kaliko said. “His album [No Pain No Love] charted pretty good, too. He was like No. 1 on iTunes.”

Watch the interview above for more on Kaliko’s faith and how he connected with with Mineo and Lecrae.
