Super producer Symbolyc One (S1), who co-produced Lecrae’s song “Welcome To America,” is signed to the production arm of Kanye West’s record label GOOD Music.
Since S1 produced Braille’s entire Cloud Nineteen album in 2009, he’s produced platinum records for Kanye (“Power”) and Beyoncé (“Best Thing I Never Had”). At SXSW 2015, Rapzilla.com interviewed S1 about how he navigates working in the mainstream music industry as a Christian.
“No matter who I work with or no matter where I’m at, what environment I work in,” S1 said. “I’m always going to be me, and I’m always going to represent Christ.”
