10 tear-jerking music videos you’ll want to share on Facebook

Music that moves listeners emotionally lives longer, makes a larger impact and builds a more loyal fan base.

Inspired by NF’s new tear-jerker “How Could You Leave Us”, Rapzilla wanted to highlight some Christian hip-hop music videos that could leave you choked up.

Grab tissues, and tell us your favorite visual in the comment section, especially if we didn’t include it on the list below.

10. FLAME – Start Over ft. NF

To start with “Start Over” is fitting, considering that NF inspired this list.

“Start Over” actually began as NF’s song, but a mutual friend showed it to FLAME, who bought it from NF and kept him on the hook. The video has nearly five million views.

Top YouTube comment: “I imagine God looking at me and says, ‘What sin? What offense?’ That broke me down.”

9. Thi’sl – Redemption

“Redemption” is the conclusion of Thi’sl’s newest album Against All Odds, which he released in March.

The ex-hustler rewinds to when he first cried out to God for repentance in this emotional visual.

Top YouTube comment: “I never comment on YouTube, but just had to. This moved me to tears. Watched this 10 times. Such an honest expression of gratitude to God. Thi’sl, thank you for choosing to use this song to show the world how to come to God — in humility, with honest self-reflection and with a willingness to submit to God on His terms. Thank you also for choosing to feed the church. We are watching and appreciate you using your talents to inspire us to keep fighting for a godly life. Thank you!”

8. Da’ T.R.U.T.H. – The Whole Truth ft. Mia Fieldes

“The Whole Truth” is the title track of Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s first album after his hiatus from music for moral indiscretion in 2009.

Two years later, Da’ T.R.U.T.H. wrote transparently about his sin and how God saved him from it.

Top YouTube comment: “Did anyone else feel like crying when listening to this song? Man, I will never understand the grace the Lord has for me. God is still a healer.”

7. Tedashii – Last Goodbye ft. Benjah

Reach Records released this video on Memorial Day in 2011.

“To all our armed forces I say thank you!” Tedashii said. “Thank you for your service. Also, to the families of our fallen who paid the ultimate sacrifice, thank you as well. We are able to continue on doing what we do because of you. I am grateful! Know that this video and my heart are to show appreciation, share my own personal gratitude and to make aware the difficulties many face in this way of service. Respectfully, I share my heart and art in the hope we will have just that, hope.”

Top YouTube comment: “The moment you realize that you might’ve been in her shoes, waiting for a loved one to return after so long and to find out it was the last time you would ever see them. This song is so deep and touching for those who have family in the military. If you watched this and did not feel touched, I just have no words for you.”

6. Monolog of Gideonz Army – Tears on Fire ft. Erica Cumbo

In “Tears on Fire”, Monolog gets vulnerable about the painful aftermath of a divorce: “And at the end of it all, four kids all gone.”

Top YouTube comment: “I went through this and it’s no joke. I was married for some years, and it all changed in one day. I remember coming home to a house with no people in it — kids gone, wife gone — that was tough. Christmas and other holidays would roll around, and you really get depressed. Those are the lowest moments to deal with.

“If you never been through this, you ain’t got a clue. This was the hardest thing I ever faced by far. I used to think I was a pretty level headed guy until this happened. Then I realized just how out of my mind I could be. This experience taught me a lot about myself, and I thank God for keeping my mind. It takes a good while to get over it, and even after some years, it still tries to creep up and bother you, but you do eventually learn how to move on with God.

“I do believe that God is always in control and has a plan because, when I look back at things, I have a better understanding of why I went through all this. I heard someone say that ‘life is understood backwards, but you have to live it forward.’ I look back and I understand now.”
