Tre Cosmos

Born July 4, 1990 in Channelview, raised in East Houston (Baytown, TX), Tre Cosmos is a rapper, singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Tre Cosmos had been creating music, starting as early as 14 singing, making beats on the computer with demo software and writing lyrics in his homework notepad. Tre Cosmos first realized his vocal talents while singing in the church youth choir. This love for music progressed on to the elementary honor choir, and eventually becoming a high school choir scholar winning State-wide awards, which led him to begin to train as classical singer.

Growing up in the Space City (Houston) area with NASA always in his line of vision, this lover of the universe says he was created to explore, but not as an astronaut. His fascination with the universe can be echoed through Genesis 1:14, “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons and for days and years’”. This later inspired the name, Tre Cosmos. The two words being independent of each other, “Tre” is Italian for “three” and "Cosmos" being a Greek word for "divine order and purpose". Tre Cosmos believes that everything and everyone has a purpose and that God created it to be exactly what it is now.

In late 2009, Tre Cosmos rededicated his life (and gift) to Christ and decided to only make music that glorifies Him. At that time Tre Cosmos fully emerged, not just musically, but as a whole new way of living. The Christian Indie-Alternative Hip-Hop artist rightfully entitled his debut album SuperNova, released in March 2011, and his sophomore work "Fire Lions & Atomic Bombs, released in July 2012, under his indie label, CosMuzik UniverseCity, in which all songs were written, performed, composed and produced by Tre Cosmos. Both albums feature elements such as Acoustic Pop, Electro Hip Hop and Techno, Urban Cross Over and R&B, Back Pack Rap To Neo-Soul, Virtual Orchestra, Spoken Word, Alternative Rock and genres not yet known to man.

Tre Cosmos wishes not be put in a box as he has done everything from Sunday morning praise and worship, musical theater at the Ensemble Theater, to Hip Hop concerts, and Poetry events. His goal is to make his style Universal. With cinematic music that ranges in style but can relate to anyone, Tre Cosmos is sure to touch the world, better yet the universe, with the Light of Christ.
