The name RichRhymes is hardly known by anybody, but to Caleb Litalien its something much larger than any other name. Living and growing up in the small unknown city of Nashua, Caleb hasn't had many things to keep him occupied, but one thing that has caught his attention is Hip-Hop Music. Starting listening to music at around the age of 13, Caleb built a love for music that most people would cherish, and some would hate. Since his family wasn't big on anything that wasn't a michael w. smith song, Caleb would hide up in his room playing the radio off of his karaoke machine. Hearing artists such as 50 cent, Ludacris, Chingy, and Missy Elliot, Caleb really didn't have a broad range in content to listen to. Hearing these artists spit about pride, money, girls, and whatever else influenced them, it really discouraged Caleb and eventually made him turn it off. So Caleb went back to listening to CCM (Christian Contemporary Music). Well it wasn't until Caleb was about 15 years old that he got introduced to an artist by the name of KJ-52, this artist intrigued him because he had a song called "Napolean Dynamite", and at the time Caleb was a huge fan of the movie. He ended up buying his album "Behind the Musik" and he slowly started seeing a whole nother side to Hip-Hop music...Christian rap. After Spending the Whole entire year finding all different types of Christian rappers, Caleb now had a small little collection of songs that could encourage him, while still letting him bob his head, but God had even more plans for Caleb. One day while hanging with one of his best friends, his buddy asked him if he could beat box, Caleb had done alittle here and there and decided it'd be fun to try it. So Caleb started beat boxing and all of a sudden his buddy started freestyling. Caleb first off was amazed that his closest friend possessed such a talent, but it also intrigued him. "Could I possibly do this?" Caleb thought to himself. Caleb eventually started making tracks almost every day out of his buddies basement, while also freestyling every chance they could get. While his buddy was progressing tremendously, Caleb was caught in rut, thinking he could rap while not really having that much talent. His family and friends kept encouraging him to keep pushing. Originally calling himself "StoryTella" Caleb dropped the name and went for a more mature name "RichRhymes". His buddy decided he didn't want to pursue music, so Caleb was left on his own to try and decide if this was what he wanted to do. After spending 3 years with no success and no progression, Caleb couldn't figure out why his music sounded like he needed a ton of work. It wasn't until one night when one of his other best friends told him he needed to change up the way he flowed, he told him he should have more emotion. You see Caleb grew up loving the artist 50 cent, and wanted to rap just like him, so he would try lowering his voice to sound "Black", and it just made him sound really stupid. So Caleb decided to take his friends advice, and started working on just rapping regularly. He eventually put out a mixtape entitled "Reflection" which reflected on his life as a Christian and a rapper. Caleb was just starting to learn how to mix his songs, and he just didn't like how a lot of the songs sounded. So he decided to scrap that mixtape, and work on a new mixtape, a more official one. He took about 6 months, and his first official mixtape "Vision" was born (http://richrhymes.bandcamp.com/album/vision). The best thing about Vision, was Caleb aka RichRhymes was finally start to find the lane his should go to. He then released his second official mixtape entitled "Evolution" (http://cleanrichrecords.bandcamp.com/album/evolution) this mixtape which only released 2 months later, showed RichRhymes had progressed 10 fold! RichRhymes then started recording like a monster, and released a 25 track mixtape entitled "What I Am" (http://cleanrichrecords.bandcamp.com/album/what-i-am). RichRhymes wasn't done though, he had to still find himself as an artist, and in just 2 months created the hit mixtape "Earth" (http://richrhymes.bandcamp.com/album/earth). In exactly 1 years time, RichRhymes B.K.A. Caleb had grown his craft tremendously. He actually could now record songs professionally, without worrying if he sounded terrible or not. RichRhymes then took a break to hone his craft, and to also promote all the mixtapes he had. Then on April 4th of this year, RichRhymes returned with a surprising new mixtape that has a sound that RichRhymes feels is who he really is, which is entitled "Determination" (http://www.viperial.com/mixtapes/view/2237/RichRhymes_-Determination). "This Mixtape is only a pre-mixtape.." says RichRhymes. The official Mixtape he feels will have as much influence as his last mixtape "Earth" and hopefully more.
