Hoze Millionaire

Jose Matos is California born, but being part of a military family, landed him in Charleston, South Carolina, which he now calls home. Jose better known as Hoze Millionaire started writing gospel rap after being influenced by popular rap group Bone Thugs and Harmony. In 1996, Hoze began writing music for the world; his mother found this out and burned his lyrics. Strongly suggesting he use his gift for the Glory of God. At this time Hoze stopped writing music all together.

A few years down the line, in 2000, Hoze met Chris Joyce (Crane from Crane and A-1) at this time he started to lean back into doing Gods music.

In 2002 Hoze Millionaire started to become a buzz amongst Charleston with his mixtapes and freestyle battles. Still learning and strengthening his gift; and a much needed talk with his mentor Pastor Thomas Riley, Hoze left for Florida to attend Full Sail Real World Education in 2003 to pursue his desire in music, majoring in Studio Engineering. After his return, Hoze started to work in the church sound department, where he was able to befriend such artist like Canton Jones and Richie Righteous when they came to minister at his home church World Overcomers Ministries. The time spent working on music became such when Hoze started to feature on other artist songs; doing work with Membaz Only and also Crane and A-1. As time progressed, Hoze recorded a few solo songs that had the buzz and anticipation of “BIG” name artist.

Now the time has arrived. 2010 marks the year of the beginning of “Messiah Music.” Hoze Millionaire is an avid believer in giving “the world” the truth, combating the music of today with the word and lifestyle of Jesus. Hoze has been trained and influenced to live righteous and his music doesn’t depart from this.
