Born Christopher T. Thompson, C.H.R.I.S. (Christ Has Rizen In Side me) has been ordained by God to call sinners out of darkness and to be a beacon of light to all who encounter his ministry. Growing up on the streets of NYC Chris was involved in the “street” life and in the midst of hustling; he developed a love for rapping. Having endured experiences in life that would break most young men (gangs, depression, crime, suicide, jail, etc.); Chris realized that the direction he was heading for led to death & destruction and he needed a change! Through a made up mind and a praying mother, Chris gave his life to the Lord and thus began his metamorphosis. He took the passion and skills as a “street” lyric, and started writing and rapping for Jesus Christ. Since the time of his transformation, Chris has worked with many Christian artists as a producer, engineer, writer, and music advisor. Then on January 31, 2009, the Lord allowed him to release his debut project titled “Transparent”. From the time of its release; his album has sold and is selling at a remarkable rate. In addition, Chris has been highly sought after and continues to travel across the length and breathe of this nation. He can be found ministering at youth conferences, services, special programs, high schools, colleges, urban events, and list goes on… His mission is to spread the gospel.
