Full Ride Music Group to Release All Female Compilation Album, ‘GIRL CODE,’ October 1st

It’s no secret that Hip-Hop is a male dominated genre. With current ladies of Hip-Hop often displayed as vixens, there is a void in true representation of today’s woman. Who can adequately and accurately speak to women’s issues? National recording artist, and GRAMMY-Award winner, Thi’sl, provides answers in his forthcoming label release: ‘GIRL CODE’.

“I wanted to contribute to the lack of female presence in Hip Hop. There are some powerful women in this industry that just haven’t been heard. My goal is to bring dope female artists to the limelight, and to introduce some new voices that many in Christian Hip Hop haven’t heard,” Thi’sl said.

Confirmed artists for this project include Jai, Natalie Lauren (formerly Suzy Rock), Erica Cumbo, Nonna, Butta P., V.Rose, Tina Carter, Martay, Heesun Lee, and more.

“I considered open submissions, but for this first female project, I wanted to work with artists that I know are excellent in their artistry, Thi’sl said.”

‘GIRL CODE’s first single “One Man Girl,” by Nonna featuring Latoya Wilson will release July 2nd.

“We’re releasing the GIRL CODE compilation album October 1st, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” Thi’sl said. “We’ll host a dope launch event for the album on that date, that will not only increase the female voice in Hip-Hop, but also raise money for a worthy female cause.”
