Malawi’s Christian Hip-Hop Scene is Alive and Well

Malawi is a landlocked country in Africa. Despite their size, this nation has a thriving Christian rap scene. Suffix is just one of those artists moving the culture.

On May 5th, Suffix celebrated the release of his debut album Before I Sleep. A look at the photos shows the people of Malawi love their Christian rappers.

In December, he dropped his single “Ghetto Ndi Nyatwa” with Sho Baraka.

Baraka visited the country and had concerts in Blantyre and Lilongwe. The African rapper was Sho’s, right-hand man. He would even open the shows for him. They teamed up and released a track.
