DC Talk’s Jesus Freak Cruise to Make its Return in 2019 & More?

Christian music legends DC Talk made their long-awaited return last summer with the Jesus Freak Cruise in July. The announcement was met with much criticism as fans had been waiting roughly 15 years for a reunion. Despite this, it was a successful return and they will be doing it once more in 2019.

According to JesusFreakCruise.com, the trio will embark June 10th through the 14th of 2019.

Booking will go live on May 15th. Anyone who missed the cruise last year now has a chance to jump on grabbing some tickets.

They will be sailing on Royal Carribean’s Mariner of the Seas. Stops will include Port Canaveral, Nassau, and Coco Cay.

There is no other additional information available at this moment. Perhaps May 15th will bring on info on the other performers as well.

DC Talk has not announced the news themselves yet. However, Kevin Max revealed this nugget on one of his Facebook groups.

“Yes, this is indeed happening for 2019… however, as the rock&roll element in dcTalk, I will say that there is more to this intermission being over than just boat rides….. HOLD FAST> KM.”

Does that mean a tour, music, album, or all three?

Yes, a DCT reunion that has been suggested, hinted, and thoroughly “talked” about by all three members has been happening for over a decade. Max previously suggested that the cruise was a starting point.

Just this week, Rapzilla celebrated our 100th episode of the podcast by having TobyMac on. He was hush hush about the cruise though.

About DCT:

Since 2000, TobyMac has just about equaled or perhaps even surpassed DCT’s stardom with his solo career churning out hit after hit. Michael Tait did his solo thing for a while before getting together with the Newsboys to replace longtime frontman Peter Furler. Kevin Max has continued to create art-experimental pop/rock at a rapid pace and even had a brief stint as Audio Adrenaline’s frontman.
