20 Christian Hip-Hop Albums that Turn 10 This Year

Kaboose – Excuse Me

Kaboose’s Excuse Me is his debut album after several years of appearances on other projects. Sackcloth Fashion’s Rocdomz produced a lot of this project.

In addition to guest spots by RedCloud and MaxOne of Sackcloth Fashion, Slaughterhouse’s and frequent Eminem collaborator, Royce Da 5’9″ appears on the album.

Some of the key tracks on the album include “Goin’ Outta Control” and “Build It Up.”

Brinson – Escaping Me

Up and until his debut project Escaping Me, Brinson was known as the leader and producer of the Godchaserz Entertainment label. This album finally gave him the chance to throw his southern vibes over his own project.

The album is 17-tracks with the two most noteworthy features being Pettidee and Knine.

Two of the album’s standouts are “These Are Things” and “What Should I Pray.”

PRo (Derek Minor) – The Blackout

Before Derek Minor was Derek Minor, he was PRo. Before he would go on to sign with Reach Records, he was making his debut with The Blackout. This ambitious first release for RMG’s face showcased the skills of an established veteran.

The album had a few features with Pettidee and Willie Will being the most known. Minor was also met with a bit of controversy because of some of his braggadocios on the record (we’ve come a long way).

“Shut Em Down” and “What Are We Living For” are must listen to tracks.

Theory Hazit – Lord Fire

Theory Hazit’s Lord Fire is a throwback to the golden era of pure hip-hop. He and producer vintage dropped a sample-heavy boom bap album that rap heads of any era can enjoy.

Lord Fire has a slew of solid features such as Playdough, Freddie Bruno, Braille, Ohmega Watts, and more.

The most popular tracks on the album are “Deep Breaths” and “Grizzly.”

Json – Life on Life

Json’s Life on Life is pretty much a classic CHH album. From open to close this emcee is pouring wisdom out about every relevant Christian topic for today’s believer.

This project was released after his 116 involvement and before Lamp Mode. With that being said, the guest features are abundant and flashy. Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, FLAME, and Thi’sl are a few of the marquis names.

Some notable tracks from the record include “Who is He” and “Move Out.”
