Rapzilla.com’s 15 Freshman of 2017

Rev Mizz

Rev Mizz’s name has mainly circulated Christian hip hop to date due to frequent Surf Gvng collaborations, but expect the singer-songwriter/producer to release more solo music soon.

Mizz is an eclectic artist with an impressive production, writing and arrangement resume, including work for Timbaland, Trick Daddy and Keri Hilson.

When did you decide that you wanted to pursue music?

Growing up as kid, I always use to listen to the radio on my way to school. Every time I heard Rob Bass and DJ EZ Rock’s “It Takes Two”, I would say to myself, “I wanna make people dance.”

What has been the most memorable moment of your career so far?

One of the most memorable moments I would say is when I learned how to play the baseline part to Barry White’s “Practice What You Preach” on the piano. It was the same as the feeling when I finally landed my first placement in music industry — a joy.

What should fans be on the lookout for musically from you in 2017?

New music and new video releases are on the way coming very soon — the top of February most definitely. I want to see my fans grow with me musically as my music grows.
