FERN of Social Club’s ’68 & Douglas’ lands on Billboard

Social Club member FERN’s debut solo project, the 68 & Douglas EP, made multiple appearances on Billboard charts for the week of Dec. 26.

68 & Douglas, which FERN released on Dec. 4, charted No. 15 among Top Christian Albums, No. 21 among Independent Albums and No. 5 among Heatseekers Albums.

Billboard explained how projects qualify for the Heatseekers chart: “This week’s top-selling albums by new or developing acts, defined as those who have never appeared on the top 100 of the Billboard 200 or the top 10 of R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, Country Albums, Latin Albums, Christian Albums or Gospel Albums. If a title reaches any of those levels, it and the act’s subsequent albums are then ineligible to appear on Heatseekers Albums, ranked by sales data as compiled by Nielsen Music.”

68 & Douglas, which had charted on iTunes when it became available for pre-order and on its release date, is the second retail project which FERN has dropped this year, having put out a full-length project, US, with Social Club in March.
